The Simple Life

'If only life were so simple' is an oft used phrase. I have a problem and a very big problem at that ...about using If in that phrase. Isnt life simple? Isnt life all about giving your best to everything you do? To follow your heart no matter what? Yes, life throws our share of pain our way. I have curled up at nights, lonely, wondering what I did wrong, what I did to deserve the agony I was going through. Pain is self-inflicted. It has nothing to do with anyone or anything around you. Regret is pain. Guilt is pain. Loss is pain. Helplessness is pain. Yes, every single of these emotions tug at your heart, make you feel for the action, that thought, the reaction that should not have occured but did anyway...I feel for all the mistakes I made. Given a chance I would do it differently. Such thoughts plague my mind and I wonder will I get a second chance? And I realize, you take your chances...no one can give them to you. Take all the chances, take everything you have, give it a go. Its always worth it!
